About Renee Walters

Dr. Walters joined the Boise State University School of Nursing as Clinical Associate Professor in January 2017 after serving as an adjunct clinical instructor in the Fall of 2016. Prior to transitioning her career into higher education, she was a highly effective health care leader at The University of Kansas Hospital, Kansas City, KS. During her career the organization was recognized three times by ANCC as a Magnet Hospital. In addition, under her management the Cardiovascular Progressive Care Unit was awarded the prestigious Beacon Award from American Association of Critical Care Nurses. Dr. Walters was honored with the Early Achievement in Nursing Award by The University of Kansas Alumni Association in 2011.
