Assistant Professor, Director of Clinical and Field Education
Currently works at St. Catherine University as Director of Clinical and Field Education in the Henrietta Schmoll School of Health. Strategic healthcare leader and change agent with over 30 years of clinical, operations and leadership experience in nursing leadership, new program development, care management, administration, quality and patient safety improvement and academic affairs. Key competencies include complex project management, patient care operations, strategic planning, case management systems and quality and performance improvement. Rebecca works as an enthusiastic innovator with a record of accomplishment in developing and implementing new programs and services and success in working in collaborative teams. Her strategic work in education, research, consulting, clinical program development, and improvement networks yielded positive results in cost reduction, service quality, and clinical performance improvement. She is co-developer and faculty for an interprofessional immersion project/course with one of the University’s clinical partners. This innovative course places students in interprofessional teams, working with an elder teacher. Her research interests include the leadership development of nurses, informal and experiential learning, clinical education best practices and interprofessional teamwork.
