About Rana Yaghmaian

Rana Yaghmaian, PhD, CRC, is an assistant professor and coordinator of the Clinical Rehabilitation Counseling program. She received her PhD in rehabilitation psychology from the University of Wisconsin–Madison. Dr. Yaghmaian's primary research interests include the psychosocial aspects of disability, well-being in women and other minorities with disabilities, and multicultural competency training and development in current and future counselors. She also takes a strong interest in teaching and pedagogy, focusing her work specifically on the integration of social justice theory into the counselor education classroom.
