About Rajvinder Bains

Rajvinder Bains, OTD, OTR/L is an Assistant Clinical professor for the Doctor of Occupational Therapy Program at the University of the Pacific. Dr. Bains graduated from Dominican University of California with her Master of Science degree in Occupational Therapy in 2015. Following graduation and completion of her board exam, she accepted her first job as an acute care occupational therapist. During this experience, she developed a passion for occupational therapy services in critical care units. After one year of clinical care, she then returned back to school in 2016 to obtain her Doctorate of Occupational Therapy (OTD) at Temple University in Philadelphia, PA. Her doctoral research focused on the learning experiences acute care occupational therapists had when working on a brain injury unit. She completed her OTD degree in 2018. Dr. Bains has five years of experience in working in acute care as well four years of experience in outpatient pediatrics. Dr. Bains is passionate about community outreach and providing occupational therapy services in underserved areas.
