About Rachel Bauer

Rachel Bauer, Ph.D. is a Lecturer of Theatre Arts at Sacred Heart University. She has worked with both undergraduate and graduate students and both theatre majors and non-majors. In her teaching and research, Rachel focuses on theatre education, the relationship between the arts and STEM and women's experiences in American theatre. Rachel is published in the Journal of Biomechanical Engineering for a piece combining theatre with engineering design. Other research highlights community and public engagement and outreach and new play development. In addition to educator, Rachel is also a performer and director with several directorial credits to her name. Rachel is the recipient of numerous grants, fellowships and awards.
