About Paul Fisette

I joined the Building Materials and Wood Technology program in 1988. My interest in building systems has kept me involved in the building materials and construction industry for more than 30 years as a builder, project manager, magazine editor, researcher and educator.
My research and professional focus involves the performance of building systems, energy efficient construction, sustainable building practices, and the performance of residential building materials. I teach courses in Building Materials, Energy Efficient Housing, Principles of Light-Frame Structures and Architectural Blueprint Reading and Estimating.
I frequently contribute articles to various regional and national publications regarding building system performance and the construction industry. I currently serve as a member of the National Academy of Sciences, Board on Infrastructure and the Constructed Environment; contributing editor with The Journal of Light Construction; and as a member of several editorial and industry advisory boards.
