Nancy Franz serves as an Emeritus Professor in the School of Education at Iowa State University. In her 33 years with Cooperative Extension she has been an Extension agent, specialist, graduate student, and administrator in Wisconsin, New York, New Hampshire, Virginia, and Iowa. Her research focuses on transformative learning conditions in non-formal educational environments and measuring and articulating university-community engagement. When she’s not exercising her “extension gene” she loves to read, be outdoors doing silent sports, and consuming dark chocolate.
