About Melissa Pearrow

Melissa Pearrow, Ph.D. is a Professor of School Psychology in the Department of Counseling and School Psychology. She is the Executive Director of the Behavior health Integrated Resources for Children (BIRCh) Project. Her research on school mental health is conducted in partnership with the Boston Public Schools, Boston Children’s Hospital, and UMass Amherst. She worked for ten years’ as a school psychologist in addition to training in inpatient, outpatient, and community mental health settings. Her work expands school mental health and policy, with an appointments on the Massachusetts Safe and Supportive Schools Commission and her local School Committee.
