About Marla Severance

Marla Severance, M.A., CCC-SLP, is a Clinical Assistant Professor of Speech-Language Pathology in the Communications Disorders Department of the College of Health Professions at Sacred Heart University. She has spent her career working in the Stamford Public School system in a variety of roles including SLP in the Special Education Department as well as Speech Pathology Department Head. She holds a Connecticut State Department Professional Educator Certification in Speech and Hearing and has clinical experience in therapeutic services to students in a wide age group and with a variety of communication disorders.
