About Mark S. Gordon

Mark S. Gordon, The Frances M. Craig distinguished professor of chemistry, received his B.S. at the Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute, Troy, NY, in 1963 and his Ph.D. at Carnegie-Mellon University, Pittsburgh, PA, in 1968. After completing a postdoctoral fellowship at Iowa State University in 1970, Dr. Gordon joined the faculty at North Dakota State University. In 1992, Dr. Gordon joined the faculty of the Department of Chemistry at Iowa State University. Dr. Gordon also serves as the director of the Applied Mathematics and Computational Sciences division of Ames Lab, a Department of Energy national laboratory facility located on the ISU campus.
