Abstract
This paper outlines a case study where human factors approaches were applied within a small family-owned timber company experiencing rapid growth. The key factors applied as a ‘designed intervention’ included a hybrid quality/risk management approach. This approach used basic human factors / ergonomics principles of worker participation during task and process analyses.
