About Marisha McClean

Marisha McClean is a pediatric cardiologist at the Children's Hospital (LHSC) and an assistant professor in the Department of Paediatrics, Western University.



Dr. Marisha McClean is a Paediatric Cardiologist at Children’s Hospital, London Health Sciences Centre. She earned her Bachelor of Medical Sciences degree with honours from the University of the West Indies (UWI) Mona Campus and then went on to complete her MBBS at UWI, Cave Hill Campus. She then went on to specialize in Paediatrics, earning a Doctorate of Medicine in Paediatrics in 2012. Her general cardiology training was completed at Stollery Children’s Hospital in Edmonton, AB where she was the Chief Resident. She then continued on and completed two additional years of subspecialty training in Interventional Cardiac Catheterization at the Stollery Children’s Hospital.
Dr. McClean joined the Western University team in December 2019 and is an Assistant Professor in Paediatrics (Cardiology) in the Department of Paediatrics, and an Associate Scientist, in the Division of Children's Health & Therapeutics, Children's Health Research Institute (CHRI) and an Associate Scientist at The Lawson Health Research Institute.
 
Her research interests include cardiac hemodynamics, 3D angiography, pulmonary artery rehabilitation and she has growing interest in the cardiac sequelae of haemoglobinopathies and single ventricle physiology post Fontan completion. She is also interested performing research into the outcomes of congenital heart disease in the Caribbean. Dr. McClean enjoys teaching and is actively involved in the tutelage of both Undergraduate and Postgraduate trainees at Western.
