About Marie D. Frazier

Marie Frazier, MD is an Assistant Professor of Pediatrics and practices Pediatric Critical Care in the Department of Pediatrics at the Joan C. Edwards School of Medicine at Marshall University. Dr. Frazier received her medical degree at Marshall University as well as her Master's in Forensic Science. She completed her Pediatric residency at Marshall University. Dr Frazier continued her training in Pediatric Critical Care Medicine with a 3- year fellowship at Duke University Medical Center in Durham, NC. She currently serves as the Section Chief of Pediatrics at Cabell Huntington Hospital. Dr Frazier's clinical and research interests focus on sudden infant death syndrome and investigation of childhood non-accidental fatality. She is a member of the WV Child Fatality Review Team with the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner that meets monthly to review pediatric deaths for the state of WV. She is currently investigating the infant mortality rate and risk factors for Sudden Infant Death for the state of WV and will be presenting her research findings at the Pediatric Academic Societies 2011 meeting in Denver. Dr. Frazier and her husband, a PICU transport nurse, have 2 sons and 1 daughter.
