About Mahbubur Meenar

Dr. Mahbubur Meenar is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Geography, Planning, & Sustainability at Rowan University. He is the director of Community Planning + Visualization Lab. Dr. Meenar uses a Biophilic Urbanism lens to explore the connection between people and their social, natural, and built environments and the influence this connection has on the planning process for developing sustainable, healthy, equitable, and just communities. His research areas include community food (systems + environment + security), (blue + green + grey) infrastructure, sustainable (development + design + policy), and digital (tools + technologies + societies).
