About Lynn S. Brann, Ph.D., R.D.

In addition to her academic duties, Dr. Brann serves as the Nutrition Education Coordinator and Member of the Board of Directors for Lion’s Camp Hickory day camp for children with type 1 diabetes. She coordinates and supervises nutrition students for the nutrition education component of the camp and is involved with the menu planning and evaluation.
Dr. Brann will begin serving as Chair-Elect of the Pediatric Nutrition Practice Group of the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics in June of 2013. She is involved in two research collaborations (one with Upstate Medical University on a study of growth, development and health of female adolescent gymnasts compared to non-gymnasts; the other with a colleague in Public Health examining the environmental toxicants, race and cardiovascular disease risk in children) where she oversees the collection and analysis of dietary data.
