About Lorraine Day

Lorraine’s teaching experience spans over 30 years in schools. Her passions are engaging students in mathematics and supporting the important work of teachers. Prior to joining Notre Dame, Lorraine was the Principal of a K-12 Independent school and an education consultant. Recently Lorraine has been involved in the Teaching Teachers for the Future national project investigating the integration of ICT into mathematics teaching. She has worked in a National Partnerships Project with the Catholic Education Office of WA and a Targeted Mathematics Project with the Association of Independent Schools of Western Australia. Currently she is involved with a major national research project on mathematical reasoning and a local project on multiplicative thinking.
