My research is in the field of Television Studies. I mainly write about gender and television and, more particularly, feminism, cultural studies and ideology. I am currently writing a monograph about motherhood and the way it is represented in television series. I am co-editor of the Reading Contemporary TV series for I.B. Tauris, co-founding editor of Critical Studies in Television: The International Journal of Television Studies, and managing editor of CSTonline.net.
