About Kevin Bowlyn

Kevin Bowlyn, Ph.D is an assistant professor in the School of Computer Science and Engineering at Sacred Heart University. His background is in electrical and computer engineering and his research interests include computer architecture, low area-power circuit designs, embedded systems, digital hardware design and digital signal processing. Dr. Bowlyn's current research is focused on computing a fast Fourier transform (FFT) algorithm using complex binary number systems and implementing circuit design on a FPGA-based board. He is also a member of the Institute for Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE), and serves as the faculty adviser for the student chapter at SHU.
