About Kelly Chen

Dr. Chen joined Boise State University in 2015. Her research interests lie in the field of Applied Microeconomics on issues related to the labor market, and health, educational and welfare policies. Her current work focuses on the economics of disability, inter-generational transmission of economic status, determinants of child health and development, and decision-making within families.
She spent the previous two years as an economist for Digonex Technologies, Inc. developing pricing optimization solution in serving a variety of clients from Broadway musicals, collegiate and professional sports, to retail. She holds a Ph.D. in Economics from Dalhousie University in Nova Scotia, and a M.A. in Economics from the University of Manitoba, Canada.
