Dr. Kathleen P. King is a professor and coordinator of graduate programs in Higher Education and Policy Studies University of Central Florida's College of Education and Human Performance. Dr. King has published over 30 books and 175+ published articles and research papers. Many of these have been written across her major areas of expertise and research: distance learning, digital media, transformative learning, professional development, and instructional technology. Dr. King’s books and web-based audio materials are used as course materials in universities around the world and have a large following. "Kathy" frequently presents national and international keynotes, refereed research and presentations at educational and interdisciplinary academic conferences. Moreover, she has led the development of numerous local and global innovative educational projects, reaching over 6.7 million learners through technology; most of these efforts have been underwritten by corporate, federal and state grants. "Kathy" previously taught five years at University of South Florida (Tampa), 13 years at Fordham University in NYC, six years at Pennsylvania Institute of Technology, two years adjunct at Widener University Center for Education (PA,) and adjunct at Holy Family College (PA) prior to joining the faculty at UCF in Orlando, FL.
