About Karen Reiner

Karen A. Reiner is an associate professor in the Department of Medical Laboratory Sciences at Andrews University, Berrien Springs, Michigan. She joined the Andrews faculty in the summer of 2004.

Born in Barquisimeto, Venezuela to missionary parents, Karen graduated with a Bachelor of Science in medical technology in 1994 from Columbia Union College in Takoma Park, Maryland. She received a Master of Science in clinical laboratory sciences from Andrews University, Berrien Springs, Michigan in 1999. In 2017, Karen completed her PhD in public health epidemiology at Walden University.

Karen Reiner holds certification with the American Society for Clinical Pathology and she is a member of the American Society for Clinical Laboratory Scientists (ASCLS) and the American Society of Clinical Microbiologists (ASM).

Karen is married to Kevin Reiner and they have two sons and two daughters.
