About J. Stanley McQuade

A native of Northern Ireland, Dr. McQuade graduated from Queen's University, Belfast, with top honors in both law and philosophy, going on to take a Ph.D. in medieval philosophy. Finally he graduated in medicine and became an anesthesiologist, practicing in Western North Carolina before coming to Campbell in 1978. He was a Methodist minister for over fifty years and found his background studies and experience helpful to his teaching at Campbell. He early became interested in computer assisted learning and was engaged in developing distance learning programs. He made something of a specialty in teaching lawyers to read medical records and conducted seminars on that topic all over the United States, as well as in Great Britain and Ireland.
