About Joshua Kira, Ph.D.

The primary focus of Professor Joshua Kira’s academic work has been in the intersection of philosophy and theology. His theological expertise resides in contemporary German theology, eschatology, and theology of revelation. Philosophically, he has researched in hermeneutics, philosophy of language, 20th-century analytic philosophy, history of philosophy (18th century and on), and philosophy of religion. Professor Kira has contributed to books on the problem of evil, ethics of economy, philosophy of revelation, and the work of Paul Ricoeur. From a practical perspective, he has taught in the areas of theology, philosophy, and religious studies.
