About Joshua Johnson

I was born and raised in Omaha, NE and graduated from Creighton University in 2008. After working as a research assistant as an undergraduate, I decided to go into academia and attended Stony Brook University. At Stony Brook, I received my Ph.D. from the Dept. of Political Science in August of 2014. I arrived at Kennesaw State in the Fall of 2015 after working at Washington University in St. Louis for one year as a Postdoctoral Research Associate. My teaching and research interests are in American Politics (broadly speaking) with an emphasis on the United States Supreme Court and Constitutional Law. I also do research in the field of American Indian Politics with my former teacher/mentor and now friend/co-author Richard Witmer. I also have a teaching and research interest in Quantitative Methodology and am drawn to any project that allows me to explore interesting questions with friends and co-authors using different statistical methods.
