Mr. Andrews's work includes performing patient consents; initial submissions to Western’s Ethics Boards (WREM), and writing responses to recommendations for new studies as well as notifications, amendments and FYIs for studies already in progress; medication reconciliation; project creation and data upload using REDCap, project creation in LORA. Before his work in clinical trials, Mr. Andrews performed basic research in areas such as breast cancer metastasis with Dr. Ann Chambers, cardiovascular research at the Robarts Research Institute, and immunology research with Dr. David Kelvin. Specific research skills include cell culture, molecular biology, immunohistochemistry, and bioinformatic analysis of RNA and DNA-related data. Mr. Andrews has written or assisted in writing research theses, manuscripts, and grant applications.
Mr. Andrews holds a certificate in Clinical Trials Management, and a Bachelor’s and Master’s Degree in Biochemistry with a specialization in Clinical Trials Management.
