About Jonny Macias Tejada, MD

Jonny Macias, MD, is a double board certified physician of geriatric medicine and family medicine and is a clinical adjunct associate professor of medicine at the University of Wisconsin School of Medicine and Public Health. 

He currently serves as the medical director for the Acute Care for Elders (ACE) program and the Hospital Elder Life Program (HELP) at Aurora St. Luke's Medical Center in Milwaukee. He is a former fellow (2014-2015) for the Hospital Elder Life Program at Hebrew Senior Life, Institute for Aging Research, Aging Brain Center affiliated with Harvard Medical School in Boston.

Dr. Macias has written chapters for The Encyclopedia of Elder Care: The Comprehensive Resource on Geriatric Health and Social Care, Third Edition; Acute Care for Elders: A Model for Interdisciplinary Care; Geriatrics Models of Care: Bringing Best Practice to an Aging America, Hazzard's Geriatric Medicine and Gerontology, seventh edition.
