About João Santos

Dr. João Santos is a geomorphologist with research interests in glacial and planetary geomorphology, paleoclimatology and remote sensing. His research areas are in south-central Alaska and northern Portugal. His work has appeared in numerous scholarly journals. He serves on the editorial board at the Journal of Polar Geography. Prior to joining SJSU, he held faculty positions at South Dakota State University and Bridgewater State University. He has professional memberships in the International Geographic Honor Society, Geological Society of America, American Quaternary Association and Association of Portuguese Geomorphologists. Dr. Santos is fluent in English, Spanish, Portuguese, French and Italian.
