About Joan Halperin

My general interests are on late Nineteenth Century French literature and art.
I am currently working on the biography of Louise Hervieu, a graphic artist, novelist and social activist from the early 20th century. Being born with syphilis, she drew attention to the need for public health and for preventive medicine.
I am also writing the biography of a Dutch artist, a Holocaust survivor.
