Abstract
This paper reviews general evaluation methods useful in managing collections of business periodicals. These methods include citation analysis, use surveys, user surveys, studies of uses, inter library loan, and indexing. Examples of each method are provided. The paper concludes with a discussion of the advantages and disadvantages of each evaluation method for the three most common collection management decisions: selection, storage, and cancellation.
