About Jessica A. Elder, M.L.I.S.

Jess serves as the Health Sciences Librarian for Centennial Library. In this role, she provides research help for the students and faculty of the Psychology, Pharmacy, Nursing, Allied Health, and Social Work departments and schools. Jess is passionate about the research process, preserving narratives, and championing literacy. She enjoys assisting others in becoming life-long, informationally literate learners in all areas of life. Jess graduated from Cedarville with a degree in English in 2018 and received her M.L.I.S. from Kent State University in 2020. She has worked at the library since 2017, first as a library intern and then as a Digital Services Specialist in the Digital Commons. She began her current role in the fall of 2021. When she is not reading, Jess enjoys kickboxing and taking her Scottish Terrier named Maggie on walks.
