About Jesse Locker

Jesse Locker is associate professor of Italian Renaissance and Baroque Art and author of Artemisia Gentileschi: The Language of Painting (Yale University Press, 2015), which was a 2015 Choice Outstanding Academic Title and winner of the 2016 Helen and Howard R. Marraro Prize in Italian History from the Society for Italian Historical Studies. He is the editor of After Trent: Reform and Global Art in the Late Renaissance (Routledge, 2018) and is currently researching the education of artists in Early Modern Italy.
