About Jessica Thompson

Jessica Thompson is a Research Fellow at ACER. Her main role is survey design, methodology, analysis, and reporting. Jess has worked on several international projects including the Programme for International Student Assessment (PISA), Southeast Asian Primary Learning Metrics (SEA-PLM) and Monitoring Impacts on Learning Outcomes (MILO).
Prior to joining ACER in 2016, Jess worked within the Australian Public Service, for Comcare and the Australian Institute of Family Studies, as well as with The Social Research Centre. Her focus across these positions was project management, health outcomes research, and family law reforms. She was involved in the development of the Longitudinal Study of Separated Parents and health outcomes surveys for injured worker/people populations for Comcare, Worksafe Victoria, and the Transport Accident Commission (TAC).
Her goal is to use her research skills in a practical setting through research and knowledge translation.
