About Jennifer G. Illuzzi

Jennifer Illuzzi studies modern German and Italian history, focusing on social and political history from national unification to the postwar era. She received her PhD in modern European history from the University of Minnesota in 2008. Her current research interests center on the relationship between state authorities in Germany and Italy and populations they labeled as “Gypsies,” as well as Italian imperialism in Libya. She teaches courses on 20th century global history, modern Europe surveys, the history of European “Gypsies,” and postwar Europe.
