About Jeffrey P. Cain

‎Jeffrey Patton Cain, Ph.D., is currently an Adjunct Instructor of English. He was a Professor of English from 1999 to 2022 in the English Department at Sacred Heart University and served as Chair of that department. Dr. Cain has reviewed books and articles for the scholarly journal Deleuze Studies, and is a past president of the Northeast Popular Culture Association (NEPCA). He has served on the executive board of the National Popular Culture/American Culture Association (PCA/ACA).
Degrees: Ph.D. University of Connecticut 1999.
Dr. Cain's research interests include post-structuralist literary theory and cultural studies. He has published articles and presented several conference papers focusing on the work of noted French theorist Gilles Deleuze. He is currently at work on a book that explores the links between Deleuzean literary theory and revolutionary political texts.
