About Jaya Pinikahana

Dr Pinikahana (BA Hons, MSc (Wales), PhD (Sheffield) is currently a Senior Lecturer/Evaluation Researcher at the Marjalin Kimberley Centre for Remote Health, Broome, NDUA. He is a health sociologist by origin who has been involved in psycho-social and health research in Australia over the last twenty years. He has worked as a lecturer, senior lecturer, research fellow and senior research fellow in Sri Lanka, New Zealand and Australia.
His training and areas of research interest include chronic illness, communicable diseases, mental health, nursing, stress, epilepsy, ageing and rural/remote health. He has published 31 peer reviewed publications, 3 book chapters and 2 edited books.
He has 1675 citations with an h-index of 19, and i-index of 22.
