I was making my regular visit to the podiatrist, and we chatted about this and that. I asked how her career was going now that she was a 10-year graduate. She described how she was making a shift in direction from being hands-on with clients to more of a business analyst role with a large health sector player. The opportunity had arisen because she is comfortable with data analysis, unlike many around her who may be more senior but have lower levels of statistical literacy. She credited the teachers at her regional high school, for the way they encouraged her to continue with Methods to Year 12 and believe in her maths capabilities.
