About Jamal Mostafavi

Seyed Jamaleddin Mostafavi Yazdi received his Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering in 2019 from Kyungpook National University, Daegu, South Korea. He was a postdoctoral researcher (March 2019 to February 2020) at the Artificial Intelligence and Computed Diagnosis Lab (AICD), Biomedical Engineering Department, at Keimyung University, Daegu, South Korea. His research interests lie in the areas of Biomechanics, Mechanics of soft tissues, Dynamics &Vibrations, Mechanics of Materials, Finite Element Analysis (FEA), and Biomedical Engineering with a focus on implantable electrocardiogram (ECG) sensors and signal characterization of ECG signals for atrial fibrillation using Machine Learning and Artificial Intelligence. he was a postdoctoral researcher (February 2020 to May 2022) in the Mechanical Engineering department at Kettering University. I’m most interested in trying to solve complex research problems that exist at the intersection of solid mechanics, mechanical design, biomechanics, additive manufacturing, vibrations, acoustics, optimization, machine learning, and new measurement techniques (e.g., Vibrational Analysis, Acoustics, Digital Image Correlation, etc.). Finding a balance between particular analysis/modeling and unconventional, creative experimentation is the key to innovative engineering. Neither modeling nor experiments can stand on their own.
