About J. Williard O'Brien

Professor O'Brien received his law degree from Fordham University School of Law, where he was the editor-in-chief of the Fordham Law Review. Following his graduation from law school, he was in private practice with the firm of Cahill, Gordon, Reindel and Ohl in New York City, and was an Assistant Professor of Law at Syracuse University College of Law. Professor O'Brien joined the Villanova faculty in 1965 and has served as Dean of the Law School from 1972 to 1983. He also was the Director of the Connelly Institute on Law and Mortality from 1983-84.
