About Isabel A. Thompson

Isabel A. Thompson, Ph.D., is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Counseling at NSU's College of Psychology. She teaches and supervises in the mental health counseling program. Her areas of research include counselor self-care, wellness and stress management, integrating creativity and mindfulness in group work, applications of contemplative approaches in counseling, and prevention of counselor burnout and compassion fatigue.
