My research interests are: Soil processes, mineral cycling, and nutrient transport mechanisms in wildland ecosystems; Carbon and nutrient dynamics in managed, natural, and disturbed forests; Effects of management, vegetation shifts and climate change on soil carbon storage and organic carbon quality in wildland soils; and Pollution effects on soil-plant interactions and freshwater quality.
