I am interested in the study of state-society relations, particularly the intersection of culture and morality with political development and law. My primary research interests are two-fold: first those pertaining to American Politics: American Political Parties, Political Development, Gender and Politics, Politics of the Family; and second those relating to Law, particularly Legal History and Crime and Punishment.
