About Gonçalo Pina
Gonçalo Pina joined the Economics Department in Fall 2012, where he teaches Macroeconomics.
Professor Pina's research interests include international finance and macroeconomics. His work has examined growth in international reserves in developing economies and the impact of different financial reforms on economic growth.
He has taught at the Universidade Nova de Lisboa (Lisbon, Portugal), and worked with the Portuguese government.
He received his B.Sc. in economics from the Universidade Nova de Lisboa, and earned his Ph.D. in economics from the Universitat Pompeu Fabra (Barcelona, Spain).
