About Gigi Gokcek

Dr. Gokcek earned a BA in Honors Political Science and Spanish at UC Irvine. She earned an MA in International Policy Studies at Middlebury Institute of International Studies at Monterey, an MA and PhD in Political Science at UC Santa Barbara. She was celebrated as Dominican University of California 2012 Teacher of the Year. She offers courses in international relations and comparative politics. In 2016 she was appointed as the Director of the Honors Program. Her scholarship focuses on security and development issues, and active learning in higher education.
