About Gary Martin

His research centers on the structure and function of cells and tissues in a variety of systems, with work published in the Journal of Experimental Zoology, Zoomorphology, and Journal of Invertebrate Pathology.
Past work focused on the mechanics of mammalian ovulation and current research involves immune mechanisms in decapod crustaceans. In particular, his lab is developing a classification scheme for crustacean blood cells based on morphology, cytochemistry and function; and studying blood cell production in normal and diseased animals.
