I am a media and communication researcher interested in the interaction between mass produced messages and shared cultural narratives and understandings. Especifically, I am interested in the way rites of passage, sexual identities, religious practices, problem solving, and perceived control are negotiated within a shared cultural environment dominated by commercially produced stories.
