  • Dr. Harrington's research interests include Python, interactive online learning, algorithms, fractals, and iterated mappings. Dr. Harrington's work on Julia sets and orthogonal polynomials has been supported by the National Science Foundation. His mathematical research has appeared in many journals, including the Journal of Approximation Theory, Communications in Mathematical Physics, the Proceedings of the AMS, and the Journal of Ergodic Theory and Dynamical Systems.

Research Interests

  • Genome-wide analyses of the past few years have revealed that a substantial portion of the genetic control of complex traits is exerted through the regulation of gene expression. Much of the genetic variation associated with complex traits falls outside the protein coding regions of genes. Mechanistic understanding of how this variation contributes to phenotype is lacking, but gene regulation is thought to play a major role. We develop and apply methods that fully harness gene regulation within complex trait association and prediction studies.

Research Interest

    1. Dr Hayward is currently researching the development of bibliographical tools, the collation and conflation of translated digitised texts, the analysis and manipulation of big datasets in the humanities, and publication frameworks for humanities data. He is also actively developing a digital corpus and bibliography of the works of Jules Verne, and associated science fiction authors. 1

Dr. Greenberg's main research efforts have been on identifying good networks for general-purpose parallel computing and developing algorithms in a number of application areas, e.g., routing messages on networks, VLSI wire routing, and sequence analysis problems of interest to computational biologists. 1
