About Eulanda A. Sanders

Eulanda Sanders is the Donna R. Danielson Professor in Textiles and Clothing at Iowa State University. Sanders joined the Iowa State University faculty in 2012. Since then, she has led the apparel design and product development programs, mentored graduate students and faculty members in those areas, and managed the digital apparel and textile studio. She expanded Iowa State’s doctoral program in apparel design. Since June 2016, she also served as the equity adviser in the College of Human Sciences. Her research focuses on theoretical design solutions for apparel design and wearable art, social and psychological aspects of African American appearance, integration of solar technologies in apparel and soft goods, knit wear design and production, and computer-aided design and pattern making. Her work has been shown in 96 exhibitions, of which 68 were juried, 15 invited, and 13 curated.
