About Eric Scott Alexander

Dr. Eric Scott Alexander joined the faculty of Boise State University in 2017, and is currently an Associate Professor within the Department of Music. He received his Doctorate of Musical Arts focusing on composition from Boston University, and received a Bachelor of Music Composition from the University of Colorado at Boulder.  Before coming to Boise State, Dr. Alexander previously taught music theory and composition at the University of Northern Colorado.  His professional experience includes being a co-director for the Open Space Festival of New Music held at the University of Northern Colorado and being a guest composer & lecturer for the Thailand International Composition Festival held by Mahidol University in Thailand.  Dr. Alexander is currently a member of the American Composers Forum, the College Music Society, and the Society for Music Theory to name a few.
