About Edward Cosgrove

Dr. Edward Cosgrove received his BS from Georgetown, his MS in Biology from Northeastern University and his Ph.D in Microbiology from The Ohio State University. He has been a full professor at Boston State College/University of Massachusetts-Boston, Assistant Commissioner of Public Health in Massachusetts, Assistant Director of the State Laboratory, Director of the Childhood Lead Poisoning Prevention Program and is currently the Director of Research Administration of the Laboratory of Cellular and Molecular Biology at Children's Hospital/Boston. In addition, he has served as president of the Public Health Museum in Tewksbury and as a member and chair of the Needham Board of Health since 1996. Dr. Cosgrove has taught Psychopharmacology at UMB for 32 years. He is also a Senior Lecturer at Northeastern University.
