Dr. Giles is one of the leading experts on service learning. He teaches courses in teaching and learning, curriculum, and communication and collaboration. He has authored and co-authored numerous books and articles on service-learning research. His research interests include community development, civic participation, the scholarship of engagement, campus/community partnerships, internships, and service learning.
